Simple Cheap Dark-Detecting LED Circuit

Here's a simple problem: "How do you make an LED turn on when it gets dark?" .....Complete
Simple Cheap Dark-Detecting LED Circuit
Parts -On top: a CR2032 lithium coin cell (3 V). On the bottom (L-R): the LED, an LTR-4206E phototransistor, a 2N3904 transistor, and a 1 k resistor. This LED is red, blindingly bright at 60 candela, in a 10 mm package. It casts a visible beam, visible for about twenty feet in a well-lit room.

A 40 meter SSB QRP transceiver

A 40 meter SSB QRP transceiver

"This transceiver was conceived as a power-efficient, small, lighweight unit to be carried in the backpack, along with antenna and battery, for use during trekking and mountaineering trips. It had to be reasonably rugged and reliable, and perform well. Furthermore, I wanted it to solve all the problems the old DSB transceivers had, such as frequency instability, distorted modulation, lack of sensitivity and selectivity, and others."

LED Lighting Projects, Learn Electronics, Basic Circuits and how they work. All in German.

"In Germany one finds this designation now and then for an electrician on the work. Particularly in the winter, if it is still dark in the morning, one often sees "Strippenstrolche" with its building lamp on the building site:"

Solar Pump

Combination of Rain and Sun Harvesting

"The inspiration for a self-sufficient toilet flush was now close at hand: I thought at first to work with a power supply that provides me the 12V to the pump. But as a power supply would idle constantly consume energy, I rejected this solution. I have long experimented with solar power, so I decided, now a solar system for our toilets to build. On the flat roof of our garage I installed two 12V - 55Wp - solar - modules (Conrad Electronics). This I switched in parallel."

"As a solar storage currently serves an ordinary car battery 45Ah (later 3 pieces with a total of 135 Ah). The charging control acquires an 8A charge controller (Conrad). So all very simple."

QRP and homebrew by DL2YEO

"The electronics industry uses several methods for labelling front panels and enclosures, including screen printing, press forming, erosion, lasers etc.. The common factor of these techniques is that they are generally beyond the home constructor. Having these parts specially made commercially can be very expensive, and the only alternative is standardized scales and fonts."

Circuit Fantasia - Present and Invent Electronic Circuits

This site presents a completely novel concept in electronics education as an alternative to the classical approach. Based on human imagination and intuition rather than formal reasoning, it is implemented as an interactive multimedia electronics product.

It is intended for students, teachers, hobbyists, inventors and for all those who do not make do with traditional formal explanations of electronic circuit phenomena. The product consists of tutorials, collections of circuits, basic principles and heuristic tools implemented by means of dynamic text, interactive step-by-step controlled animations, hyperlinks, hidden explanation buttons and sounds associated to the circuit operation. Created by Cyril Mechkov.

The Course - "We start with a few lessons about voltage, current en resistance. Next, we'll discuss power dissipation and capacitors, diodes and transistors. We now have enough knowlegdge to build a simple power supply. And after a few lessons about differential amplifiers and operational amplifiers, we are even able to design and build a professional lab power supply."
